Beadwork Classes

What could be more fun than a time to get together with other people to bead, to laugh, to make a few new friends? It has been great for me as a beadworker to meet with other beaders to help develop my skills and to have time with other people who understand and share my love--or obsession- with all things beads.

After 32 years as an educator and school counselor, my life took a little turn, and I thought it would be a great idea to learn a new hobby for my early retirement.  Being a fan of great earrings, I took a beading class or two and was instantly hooked!  Now, my inner-artist seems to be blooming, and I can hardly wait to play in my studio with beads, wire and anything else I can get my hands on to make interesting new jewelry pieces.

Being both an educator and an art class "flunkie", I found myself frustrated with beading classes that were designed for people who already knew beading techniques and could breeze through a fairly advanced project in just a couple of hours.  It pained me as an instructor to be required to be so project focused that I was supposed to "help" finish a student's project if they were having trouble or just beginning learners. So, I decided to do it my way, in a way that I KNOW benefits my students in a joyful and empowered way.

I've designed all of my classes with beginning beaders in mind.  You'll never be a "flunkie" in one of my classes, because I'll make sure you have all of the help you need.  When you're ready for a challenge, I'll have some challenging classes for you, too!    Come play in the beads with me, won't you?
